Excellent holiday gifts are made by tablets, along with the best thing about them is that they can be used by everyone, from a three-year old to your grandmother. But with a lot of devices out there, how are you able to make sure you get the best tablet for the money?
Tablets are only like another other tablets with regards to what things to consider in relation to specs, you simply wish to get as much as you can for your money.
The crucial things to look out for are storage space (GBs); screen resolution; RAM; what sort of central processing unit the tablets is using how many centers it has; and also how light and thin is the device. You need to assess each of those specs against a few other tablets in the same cost range to make sure to are getting a great deal, in case you see a tablet you want.

The 10 Best Rated Tablets The Market
Without further ado, Just look in the best tablets. The following tablets represent the highest-quality tablets currently available, and you also actually can not go wrong with any of them.
Amazon Kindle Fire HD – Best Tablet for kids
There are a few issues that you should consider in picking a Kindle ebook reader or any other e-reader just before you move out and purchase them.
The reason being should you get a version besides the one which could really fit the bill, you’ll simply end up taking a loss and then there will be a greater probability of you not necessarily using your freshly purchased unit in any way.
What you should be doing in the first instance would be to do your own homework with regards to visiting expert Amazon kindle review sites to read Kindle Fire HD reviews and get a solid understanding over each of its attributes.
By doing this you’ll know what each and every function is about and the way to pick the right model that you would take pleasure in employing and carrying with you anywhere you go.
In no way buy something without first searching for reviews about it, whether it is then positive or negative to enable you to then determine putting both its elements under consideration. Since it is not a very easy task to make money, you must similarly be cautious concerning your costs. Complete your analysis well before opting to acquire your Amazon kindle and you will often be satisfied with your investment.
If you consider the price and the functionality I think the amazon kindele fire table is a great tool / toy if you watch a lot of video or play a lot of games on your device: the video quality is outstanding and you can really tell a difference between this and the new HD Fire.
If you are a first-time tablet buyer, where price vs. value is a key consideration, or if you are looking for an affordable tablet for the kids, I’d recommend the “regular” Kindle Fire HD that is only $139. If you’re comparing last year’s HD model to this version and it is operating fine, I’d say save your money and continue to get your money’s worth out of that one.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX vs HD: Which one is Best for you ?
My review below compares a lot of the features of this version of the Fire HDX to the original Fire HD as well as this year’s model of the Fire HD, but also some of the features for a first-time user.
Screen Display / Video Playback:
The Fire HDX of the Fire has the absolute best screen display of any Fire model to date. Looking at the technical specs Amazon made some major changes in the display / resolution, and the picture appears more crisp: I compared the viewing experience watching with my standard test of the Fire devices over the past couple of years – don’t laugh – the first episode of the Wonder Woman TV series from the 70’s.
The display on this Fire was one heck of a lot better in terms of sharpness than last year’s model as well as this year’s model of the Fire HD. For you technical folks out there, the display is 1,920 x 1,200 with 50% more pixels per inch than the Fire HD.
The initial Wi-Fi setup took some time as it wouldn’t remember the password for my router after each software update / crash / reboot series.
My “normal” website test is to hit the mobile websites of FoxNews, CNN, my personalized Yahoo page, Google, and the Houston Chronicle. The ones that were usually slow on the other devices were faster on the HDX (Houston Chronicle and CNN), and for the other sites I couldn’t tell a difference in speed at the location closest to my router.
When I went to the slowest / worst reception location of my house, the speed did have a noticeable difference in the other devices as this one was a little bit faster than all but last year’s model of the 7″ Kindle Fire HD; yes, it was also faster than this year’s model of the Fire HD but I attribute the increase in speed to the dual antennas on the HDX.
Sound / Music Playback:
The two speakers are located in the back of the Kindle Fire in two not-noticeable ports: one on the top and one on the bottom. My test of this feature was cranking up Van Halen’s Panama to maximum volume (I always want to see if it could really play the guitar licks), and I would alternate covering one speaker up over the other: you have true stereo sound with no degradation of the sound that makes you think you are about to blow the speaker.
The Dolby speakers sound nice and you do get to hear the bass. However, I am still of the opinion the speakers aren’t going to do very well being placed in the back as I am in the front: I want to be able to hear whatever I am listening to without really having to crank it up and disturbing someone else in the room (that’s what happens when you start losing your hearing like I am).
While the cover for this version has not shipped yet – why aren’t the covers released at the same time? – I imagine the sound quality might decrease with a cover in the back over the speakers. The X-ray feature is pretty neat as it displays the lyrics on the screen if you are so inclined; if you are not, it is as simple as the tap of an icon to make the lyric feature go away.
Consistent with previous versions of the Fire, email setup was very easy for my main Gmail account, both with the software came with the Fire but my primary use of an existing app called Enhanced Email I purchased here in the Amazon app store. I did setup the email app that came with the program with no problem – it took about a minute to setup my main Google account – and I was able to send and receive emails as well as synch my online calendar via Google’s calendar and contacts. For those of you asking yourself why am I using the Enhanced Email program, the simple answer is like many of you I have more than one email account: you can quickly switch back and forth on the accounts with the tool. The lazy person in me appreciates that as I don’t like getting out of the lazy chair once I’m settled in!
New Tabs and Screen Layout:
In addition to the normal tabs Amazon has continued to make tweaks with the look and feel to the overall display such as more things to scroll through to find what you are looking for in an easier manner. Interestingly, and consistent with my experiences with this year’s model of the Fire HD, I purchased the one with special offers and the only ad I have seen so far is on the main screen saver vs. being overwhelmed with ads like last year’s model.
Turning pages is pretty darn easy – just tap the side of the screen to go to the next page or back a page, or you can swipe your finger across the screen to do the same. Amazon did add the feature to see the book’s description for books on your device like they have with the e-Ink Kindle (always an annoyance with last year’s model), which is a plus as I can’t remember what each book in my digital to-be-read pile is about; getting to the book description, requires several taps on the screen to eventually get to where you want to be. If there is an easier way to do it, I can’t find it and maybe I should be one of the first guys, ever, to crack open the electronic user’s manual to figure it out (doubt it). For those of you who have wondered, you still can’t organize your books into categories unless you purchase a third-party app</a> here in the Amazon app store.
There is a Bluetooth connection, and I did my usual test of this feature by taking it out to my car and having the Fire stream music through my car stereo. There were no delays or skips with the connection, and it paired up in about a minute. Just make sure you give it a device name so you can recognize it and be recognized.
There is a camera on this model – it faces the front or toward the user / reader. Focusing and taking a picture is pretty easy, and Amazon will by default store your pictures in the Cloud – which counts against your storage allotment. I’d recommend turning that automatic storage feature off unless you are sure you want it, because if you go over the limit that will provide Amazon another opportunity to collect a monthly revenue stream from you.
Unlike previous models of the Fire, this one DOES include a charger! If you’re scratching your head with that comment, in previous models you had to purchase a charger separately for $20 which always seemed kind of silly for Amazon to do.
A new feature with this model, and not included on this year’s “regular” model of the Fire, is the introduction of the “Mayday” button. Basically, you can touch the button and a video screen will pop up and you can actually see – and talk to – a live customer service agent. I haven’t pressed the button yet to try it out, as I think I would feel pretty dumb: when they ask me how can they help, I don’t want to say “I just wanted to see if this works and just stopped by to say `hi’ for purposes of this review.”
What I Wish it Had: a case that was ready to go and shipped when the Fire was ready (why are we waiting). A case is very important in order to protect your investment. Also, I’m interested to see how they try to not hurt the speaker’s performance I mentioned above due to the speakers being in the back of the unit and hopefully not covered up with a case.
This is a tablet worth considering as despite it being designed for the mature crowd in mind, it has features for the kid in the family.
If you’re searching for a great new tablet for your own childs, then here’s a look at where I think you should your area your hard earned funds for the greatest bang for your dollar.
This is a tablet worth contemplating as despite it being designed for the mature crowd at heart, it has features for the child in your family. It is a lightweight gadget that’s tough enough for kids to play with as it can weather any kinds of drops. The tablet comes with the FreeTime service which is not useless in parenting.
This is really a tablet worth considering as despite it being designed for the mature crowd at heart, it has characteristics for the kid in the family. It is a lightweight gadget that’s tough enough for children to play with as it can weather any forms of falls. The tablet comes with the FreeTime service which is useful in parenting.
Overall, at hdx for the 16GB of memory modeI think this is a good deal for someone who really uses the video / apps feature. Kids will love it as they can read books, play games, watch TV and movies, and a whole lot of other things. Adults should like it for the exact same reasons, but while I try to minimize the amount of work-related stuff I do at home with the business apps that are available here in the Amazon App store and other places around the Internet I can also work on Excel and Word-compatible files when I have to without having to fire up my work laptop or whatever the case may be.
If you’ve never owned a tablet before, or are looking to upgrade from an earlier model Fire, I would recommend this one if video and apps are your thing – but make sure you purchase the higher memory one vs. the minimum 16 GB.
If you’re comparing last year’s HD model to this version and it is operating fine, or looking for a tablet for your younger children, I’d say save your money and continue to get your money’s worth out of last year’s model or get this year’s model of the Kindle Fire HD.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is the ultimate of all the android tablets and also an authentic killer that is iPad. It’s a smaller form factor making it more mobile, easier to hold, and more easy to use in a single hand while giving little in the manner of display.
The Samsung Tablet is very desired, not least because of its specs. It sports a 1.2Ghz processor, 16GB of storage expandable to 32GB through MicroSD cards, and both 3G and Wifi making it eminently connectable.
This tablet has got very great specifications and stick to most of the minimum conditions that I’m mentioning on this hub. The key thing when purchasing a tablet to bear in mind is the responsiveness of these devices.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is Perfect for reading, playing games, browsing the web, or watching movies, it features a 7.0 and 10.0 inch, 1280*800 resolution display, so you experience rich graphics, bright colors, and sharp text. It is not super heavy and simple to use. The back and front camera are amazing to shoot selfies and graphics and it’s great for shooting videos.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7-Inch)
Slim and stylish, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is a tablet suitable for people on the move. This Samsung tablet PC is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and is loaded with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system for quicker multitasking. The 7-inch display of this tablet delivers clear and sharp images at a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. Boasting Wi-Fi, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 lets you wirelessly surf the web, check e-mails and stream videos. The rear-facing 3 MP fixed-focus camera of this Samsung tablet PC lets you capture decent images, while the VGA front-facing camera allows you to video chat.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). Weighing just 12 ounces and sporting a vibrant 7-inch touchscreen display, the Galaxy Tab 2 runs the Android 4.0 operating system and is powered by a 1.0 GHz dual-core processor.
Exceptional 7-inch multitouch screen designed for reading books and magazines, watching movies, playing games, and more.
The Galaxy Tab offers full support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 for accessing Flash-enabled websites, watching video and playing games.Access the Internet and stream media over your home network via ultra-fast Wireless-N Wi-Fi. And with the Smart Remote app and built-in IR Blaster, you can watch and control your TV content–all from the palm of your hand.
It’s outfitted with a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera for photo capture and sharing as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video chat. Other features include 8 GB of internal memory, microSD memory expansion (for up to 32 GB of expansion via optional cards), Bluetooth 3.0 wireless connectivity for hands-free devices and stereo music streaming, and GPS for navigation and location services.
In order to make the Samsung Tab 2 up to the prevailing competition in the mobile tablet devices market place, Samsung has given it a massive 10.1 inches wide touchscreen that will make it possible for the tablet device to display at the 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. And the operating system running it will be the Android 3.0 version Gingerbread Honeycomb.
And powering its various affairs will be the dual core Nvidia Tegra 2.1 GHz processor. Samsung has also extended the 10.1 Flash support to this obviously enhanced version of its mobile tablet device. Samsung has also given this tablet device not one but two camera devices. The one at the rear of the tablet will be a fine eight mega pixel snapper and the one at the front a two mega pixel that can be used for video calling, etc.
Users can look forward to watching videos made on the MPEG4/H263/H264 formats. It is also very much possible to play 1080p high definition video. In all likelihood, we will have the upgraded Galaxy Tab 2 in our midst by April, 2011 or so. The network service providers have already started working on finalizing a nice initial set of Samsung Tab 2 contract deals and other Tab 2 deals.
This is a brand new product from Samsung that breaks the $250 price barrier. There are a lot of tablets at or below this price but they are mostly very low end devices with slow CPUs, poor screens and built for non-US markets. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 makes none of the compromises typical of this price point and provides the same kind of performance you’d expect from the rest of the Samsung Galaxy Tab portfolio.
It’s fast, slick, has a great screen and even has Android 4.03 (Ice Cream Sandwich). I do like the new operating system and adapted to it in minutes. In addition to front & rear cameras there is bluetooth and even an IR blaster so you can use it as a remote for your TV. It only took a minute to set that up and get a program guide downloaded.
All the apps on my Gingerbread phone loaded up to the Tab and run fine on the ICS platform. I can’t comment on battery life yet as I plugged it for the initial charge and setup and haven’t run on battery yet. As far as WiFi reception goes, it picks up all the same signals at the same strength as my laptop so no problem there.

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T-B1-GR
The Transformer Pad Infinity TF 700T may not have an in built controller but it certainly is not light on specs. It boasts a 10-inch screen and supports High-Definition display. Therefore, if you are seeking to play HD games, you should look at buying this tablet PC.
Combining 12-core GeForce graphics processing unit with Quadcore Tegra 3 chip, a smooth gaming operation is delivered by the Infinity TF 700T tablet PC. Clocked at 1.6 GHz, the Tegra 3 processor is strong enough to play a number of the most demanding 3D games developed for the Android platform.
Asus Transformer Pad Infinity’s strong processor/GPU combined with 10-inch 1920 x 2000 pixel screen offers an Android gaming experience that is amazing. Its unique selling proposition is possibly its display. The tablet PC is a bit pricey compared to other Android gaming tablets, but it really is worth the money spent on it.
ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T Tablet, NVIDIA Tegra 3 Qaud-Core Processor (1.6GHz), 10.1″ LED Backlight WXGA (1920×1200) Screen, 1GB DDR3 Memory, 32GB Storage Capacity, NVIDIA Tegra 3 Graphics, Wireless 802.11 b/g/n & Bluetooth 3.0, 2.0 Megapixel Front Camera & 8.0 Megapixel Rear Camera, 9.5 hours 25Wh Li-polymer Battery, Optional Keyboard Docking Station (up to 14 hours of battery life), Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
- Super fast performance.
- Love the IPS screen mode when using the tablet outside.
- Touch is very accurate.
- Screen size is perfect for reading a full size html website and ebooks.
- Outstanding Video performance.
- Front and rear cameras. Quality seems pretty good, but not as good as standalone camera.
- GPS performance is great, even inside my house. I use the CoPilot app.
- Side button placement does not interfere with your hand placement irregardless of the tablets
- orientation. The buttons also take a good amount of pressure to engage, thus when its sitting on something (like your lap) the button wont accidentally get pressed.
- WiFi conductivity is excellent. No problems connecting and maintaining connections. Signal strength is great.
- No 5Ghz wireless N support. Only 2.4 Ghz is supported.
- Not running the latest Android OS (Jelly Bean).
- Internal speaker is on the back of unit. Sound is muffled if its laying down on a table
Speed: I don’t know what else to say but it’s very VERY fast. I’ve loaded over 225 apps of many different varieties on it, so I’d say I’ve put it through its paces. Now, I’m not saying that you won’t have a sluggish moment here or there. What I AM saying is that if you do, it’s probably the app you’re using that’s to blame. A poorly written app can cause a plague of problems on any device. I have a couple of apps that I’m willing to forgive shortcomings for because of functionality they offer but I can say that their shortcomings aren’t nearly as apparent on this tablet as they have been on any of my other Android devices.
Battery: If I beat it REALLY hard, I can kill the battery (tablet only) in about 6 hours. My version of beating it really hard is multi-tab web browsing with Flash turned on, switching back and forth between several other apps, installing apps, downloading from my Box.net account, playing some games, using a remote desktop client, etc. All the while running either native movies or YouTube streams in Stick It Player (resize-able, floating, video player window that renders on top of whatever app you have open.) If I use it like most people would normally use a tablet, I can easily break the 10 hour mark (tablet only.) With the dock (I’m using the Prime dock,) I get anywhere between 9 and 16 hours of use out of it.
Dock: I’m using a Transformer Prime TF201 dock because A) It has a bigger battery than the Infinity dock and B) it was about $50 cheaper than the Infinity dock. It works perfectly. All of the ports, the keys, the charging, etc. work exactly as they should. One thing is, it’s a little bit tighter of a fit but all that really means is that there’s less play and you have to manually slide the lock over to secure it.
Cameras: Front-facing is great for video chat (tested with Google+ Hangouts and Skype) and the rear-facing takes absolutely beautiful pictures. I’m almost willing to consider being “that guy” who uses his tablet instead of a camera.
Bottom Line: I haven’t found a single thing I dislike about this tablet. It really is everything they say it is, which is rare in this day and age. I would happily buy this tablet again.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1-Inch)
The Samsung Galaxy Tablet is one of the most widely sought tablets on the market. There a number of reasons one would seek it.Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Thanks to the 10.1-inch touchscreen of this Samsung tablet, you can easily navigate your way through its highly versatile options or enjoy your favorite game to the fullest. With built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, this Android tablet lets you stay connected, upload photos, share files, or even shop online.
The 3 MP camera of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Android tablet lets you capture interesting moments on the spur. With a 1 GB RAM, this Samsung tablet renders videos and games in a superior visual quality, providing an exceptional experience. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 features Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity for quick and easy sharing of files between compatible devices.
the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 , which is about the same size as the Apple iPad, is available in 16 and 32GB versions. This means the Galaxy offers one a great deal of memory for multitasking work. For example, with the Galaxy’s screen, you can float four or five apps that you regularly access and use and keep them open, while, at the same time, one can access and use other, lesser-used apps..
- Large and easy to read 10.1 inch screen. The colors are vivid and the text and videos are clear.
- – Slot for an micro SD Card. I placed a 32g in mine for music, files etc. And still have lots of room to add more music and files later.
- It did have 4.04 ICS (which I loved) However, Jelly Bean OTA (Over the Air) came out Jan 11, 2013 for this Tablet (please see my very detailed comments below in the discussion regarding the new Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update that IS NOW AVAILABLE OTA for this tablet).
- Battery life is pretty good if I get on and off the WiFi in a reasonable time. I usually get at least 8 – 10 hours using WiFi on and off. WiFi hogs the battery!
- The tablet runs very fast and it is very responsive in the internet and in apps, music etc.
- Music Player (stock) runs fine and it is very easy to place Playlists on it. Sound is loud enough without headphone, however, I listen to headphones for music, videos, etc.
- Installed the Kindle Android App and downloaded several Kindle books with no problems. Kindle loads fast and this Tablet is a joy to read a book on either Kindle or any eBook or PDF booklet.
- Installed Maxthon Browser and I like it better, it runs very fast with this tablet.
- Screen Shot Button – I use this all the time, especially to capture things I want to view later from the net, and it is faster than downloading. Note the screen shot takes a snapshot of whatever is on the screen as a picture.
- All apps I installed run great and fast with no problems. The tablet feels like it is made well, however, to secure it better, I bought from Amazon a stand that I set it up in landscape mode and it has 3 positions. Keeps the tablet clean when I am not using it.
- Uses a propriety USB cable/charger, but I bought extra cable/chargers online to keep an extra.
- No headset included (the new Galaxy Tabs DO NOT HAVE A HEADSET included. However, bought a Samsung headset on Amazon for the Galaxy Note and it fits this perfectly and has loud sound and very high quality (it was under 10 dollars). Also, eBay carries genuine Samsung 3.5 headsets as the generics are not that good of quality I have found).
- Very small instruction “manual” provided with the tablet, however, I went to the Samsung site and downloaded the full 140 page manual and saved it in PDF on my laptop for reading anytime I need it. If you want the link for the manual, let you know in the comments and I will give it to you.
The Samsung Gaxaxy Tab 2 is a very nice well designed tablet.Don’t Miss Out on this Great Buy if your in the market for a GREAT Tablet!!!
Its off-center of gravity design realizes stability and ease of grip as well as a sense of stability and lightness, offering comfortable use for hours. And it’s powered by the blazing fast 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor for seamless multitasking.
You can use the Sony Tablet S’s universal remote to control home entertainment devices using its integrated infrared (IR)–everything from turning on your HDTV to changing the channel and adjusting volume. It also comes with integrated DLNA functionality, enabling you to wirelessly stream music, video, and photos to large-screen TVs or home entertainment receivers
A. Superb Design – Beautifully curved design with a wedge shaped body is a winner.
I found that its physical design is not just gorgeous but significantly useful.
(1) When holding it on your hand, it feels lighter than flat type because the center of gravity is closer to your holding hand.
(This is true even when holding it horizontally with both hands if you hold the upper half of the device. And it feels secure because the wedge shape on upper side works as a slip-stopper.)
(2) It is much safer and easier to carry it around room to room without fear of dropping it because the wedge shaped side works as a slip-stopper between your fingers that hold it.
(3) The screen is easier to view with less glare, and its virtual keyboard is easier to type when placed on the desk because the wedge gives a comfortable elevation on upper side. You do not need a special carrier case to do that like all other flat shaped tablets.
(4) This is the only tablet that you can gently put on the desk and comfortably pick it up without fear of dropping it because the wedge shape with hollowed sides gives you a convenient handle to hold it securely.
(5) It is simply gorgeous to look at both when held in hand and placed on the desktop (you don’t need ugly case to elevate the upper side).
B. Light Weight – Use of special plastics make this tablet light and strong.
(1) This tablet is lightest among all tablets in its size-class. It is essential for mobile device to be light. Lighter the better; therefore, it is the best in its class in this regard.
(2) Sony achieves this lightness by using plastics. However, not all plastics are made equal. Sony fortified its device by using very sturdy special plastics (as opposed to cheep ones used in Samsung’s). In other words, it is high quality plastic that is strong, very strong.
C. Large Storage Capacity (External SD card and USB drive)
(1) I bought one with 32GB. I also bought a 32GB external SD card. Together, my Sony Tablet has 64GB at all times. That’s plenty for many videos and movies and other data. (Compare with Kindle Fire which has only 8GB)
(2) In addition, with a USB connector ($17), I can also connect to my 500GB USB pocket drive if I need it. (iPad does not have USB connector.)
D. High Quality Camera and Video Recorder and Crisp Video Replay
One of the things that my friends envy about my Sony Tablet is quality of pictures and videos it can record. You take video in front of them and replay immediately in beautiful resolution. And watch their reaction :). It’s fun.
E. Universal Media Controller
I use it as universal media controller in my living room. I have now one device to control my TV,Cable, BD/DVD, and AV Receiver.
F. EReader Apps
I have all with Sony Tablet: Kindle app, Nook app, and Sony EReader app in this one device. I use Kindle app to read, well, Amazon books. I use Sony Reader app to read books from local libraries.
G. Music Unlimited
My music life has changed drastically after I became a Sony Music Unlimited subscriber. My music life was centered around Apple’s iTune, in which case I was listening to same music over and over again because I had to buy every songs that I want to listen. And I can buy only so many. However, if you become a subscriber to the Music Unlimited, millions of songs become available to you. Suddenly my music world became drastically widened. I now listen to more music that I have never listened before. My favorite songs no longer become boring due to overly repeated listening. And I can listen to Music Unlimited at any place (not just Sony Tablet but any networked device such as PC, PS3, BD/DVD, etc).
H. Wide Screen
Unlike iPad or iPad-wannabe tablets, Sony Tablet has a wider screen. That gives Sony Tablet at least two major advantages. First, it is much more suitable as a movie viewer. If you intend to use tablet for movie viewing, this is an important consideration. Second, it gives Sony Tablet a comfortable space for a virtual keyboard that includes numeric keypad, just like a normal keyboard. I really hate iPad virtual keyboard because I have to keep switching in order to type a number. Another good thing resulted from Sony not followling Apple.
Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u
The Acer Iconia A500-10S16u Tablet features a 10.1″ high-definition multitouch display for easy navigation through menus and front-facing and rear-facing cameras that allow you to video chat with family and friends.
The Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u provides the ultimate tablet experience with a gleaming 10.1″ touch-screen and attention grabbing metallic design fueled by top-of-the-line technology and the latest build of Android “Honeycomb” OS.

The Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u is designed to maximize content enjoyment, providing a rich and vibrant experience on the user-friendly 10.1″ multi-touch screen display, while the orientation-less design ensures optimal on-screen viewing from every angle – up and down or left to right.
Sound & Display
The sound on the Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u tablet is really good, I was kind of surprised, for such a small thing to have such good sound. I am not saying I would want to listen to my music over the speakers, my headphones are much better for that, but for sharing music or videos with people around it works pretty well. The display is fine, good, but not great. I think the colors and brightness are fine, but my phone seems better (Galaxy S phone). The viewing angle is good, and easily sharable with a person sitting next to you.
Apps & Software
I really like Honeycomb (Android 3), the G-mail client is much better. The browser is fine, but it is a little on the sluggish side. I planned on using this to replace a laptop for surfing the web while moving around the house, and it is good for that, but I can tell that the browser is just not as fast as the laptop on the same network, so I think it might be a little underpowered by comparison. Most sites load with the full site and not a mobile site (wired for some reason always gives me the mobile… grrrr), and that makes it a much better experience. The on-screen keyboard is ok, I am so used to using swype on my phone, that I miss it when using the A500, but I haven’t tried to install it yet. As for the other apps in the android market, I have loaded a bunch of the non-tablet apps, and they seem to work fine for me. Most of them scale great (including angry birds, which is huge on a 10.1″ screen). I have also picked up a few tablet only versions, and they worked just as well.
Overall the Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u tablet seems zippy, I haven’t noticed any slowdowns when running regularly, though I did get choppy video when trying to use a 720p video on You Tube while connected to HDMI. I haven’t tried that again, but I have a feeling it just was too much for the tablet. Anyway I love that it has the HDMI port, and the USB micro in for transferring data over, and a normal usb for a keyboard, or flash drives.
The Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u wifi works just ok, the signal strength doesn’t seem as good as a normal laptop, but it is about the same or possibly a little better than my Galaxy S phone. I have also had times where sitting 10 feet from the router I kept loosing the signal, but after a reboot, it seemed to work fine. I have also wifi tethered the A500 to my phone, and that worked out great. Basically you just turn on wifi-tether on the phone, and the A500 saw it as an access point right away. The only bad part is that it does suck the phone’s battery very quickly. I did this while out camping (sadly only getting E 🙁 and not 3G), and it made the trip a lot nicer than trying to use my phone like I had in the past for e-mail and catching up in reader.
Overall,I really like the Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u tablet, and I think the issues I had above, will all be fixed by software updates as honeycomb becomes more mature. I had a G1 when it first came out, and it was pretty much a mess when at the beginning. As the software updates came along, it worked much better. Using the tablet as a replacement for a laptop, works pretty good for surfing the web, and watching videos and such, though it could use more power in the browser area. The battery life is better than my phone, but that just isn’t saying much. I really like the options that it presented (like the USB and HDMI ports), and the screen resolution, which is why I purchased this over the Asus transformer (need the dock for a normal usb port), and it was much cheaper than the Xoom(Verizon or WIFI) or G-Slate (T-Mobile), or the iPad2. I also was more interested in an Android tablet over an iOS tablet, because I use a lot of Google services (GMail, Docs, Calendar, Reader, etc), and they work better on Android than they seem to on iOS, so it is much more convenient for me. I bet within 3-6 months I will have to upgrade this to a 5 star review, but with the software problems as they are now, I just can’t do it, even though I wouldn’t get rid of the A500.

The key point to consider here is that even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus can allow you more creativity and options to do work how productive can you be on a 7 inch tablet? You can view reports, presentations and send emails but then you can do that on the Kindle Fire too.
Are you really going to use a 7 inch tablet to write out a new marketing strategy or edit a video advert to upload to YouTube? If you are going to use a tablet for that then you would be far better served with a larger 10 inch device like the iPad or the 10″ Galaxy Tab. At just 7 inches, the best use for a device of this size is for media consumption and that’s where the Kindle Fire wins.

Value, value, value – can’t beat it for $350 for a 10″, with ICS and level of quality
Ice Cream Sandwich…yummy yummy ice cream 🙂
Great screen resolution – better than iPad 1 and 2. Screen is sharp and very bright even at lower brightness settings. Default is around 40% and I see no need to go higher.
Colors are vibrant and seem to be accurate and text is clear…looks better than my 17″ Dell laptop and wife’s Lenovo screens
Full sized USB – used with USB sticks and it worked great for transferring files and photos. I haven’t tried any other accessories yet, but wondering if a USB game pad would work??? Doubt it but would be great if it did.
Micro SD card slot – I plugged in a 16 gig from an old blackberry and it was able to read the photos and music I had on it. Astro file manager is included with ICS and works well for moving files around.
Battery life is great…the first night I had it, I had it off of the charger for 5 hours straight (4:58 to be exact) playing games, surfing, and installing apps and it still reported 52% battery life left…very impressive!
Current lack of accessories
Lack of rear camera – really a non issue for me as I don’t anticipate using the camera anyhow. My Android phone has an 8 mega-pixel camera already and I have a mid-range Canon DSLR that I take if I anticipate shooting photos.
Sometimes when bringing up my browser, the A200 will tell me it doesn’t have an Internet connection. I refresh and all is good. Not sure if this is an ICS issue or an issue with hardware but likely ICS.
Sound levels are little on the low side although I don’t have any other tablets that I can compare to. It’s certainly acceptable. I did download an equalizer program but I started hearing a weird crackling sound through the speakers so I uninstalled and all is well again. I may try a different program but so far a non-issue.
Stupid built-in Android browser defaults to mobile sites, not full. This is an Android built-in browser issue though (seriously why don’t they fix this for Tablets). The normal work arounds didn’t do anything…debug mode and browser check box for full sites didn’t work. My workaround was to install Boat browser which seems to work well for displaying full sites.
Big con, is that my wife initially thought I wasn’t smart buying yet another gadget, but now that she has tried it, I can’t get it away from her. Same thing with 4 year old son…he thinks it’s his now (istorybook is awesome app for kids BTW).
In summary, evaluate your needs for a tablet. If this is a back up device and you already have a PC/laptop/Mac for more processor intensive apps and you want/need a device for surfing, portability, easy of use, game playing and don’t need a rear camera or 3/4G connectivity this is a wonderful device for a wonderful price. I love it!

The google nexus 7 is the first Android based product I’ve owned and surprisingly i think it’s an amazing product. That’s a hard thing for me to say because I’m an Apple fanboy at heart. I’m going to share my thoughts about the Nexus and do a brief comparison between it and the new iPad.
Jelly Bean is the google Nexus 7’s operating system. The successor to Ice Cream Sandwich and Froyo, seen on earlier Android phones and cheap tablets. The OS comes with a lot of apps built-in to get you started. Some of these include Maps, Navigation, Google Earth, Chrome and YouTube to name but a few. Thousands more apps are on Google Play store with many ad-sponsored choices available. Overall the device is excellent to use with no lag on videos, “buttery smooth” animations and incredible overall responsiveness.
The Nexus 7 is basically a big Nexus Phone – running on Android Jellybean. It’s a 7″ screen (obviously) with super crisp 1280×800 resolution – making the screen so crisp it’s refreshing. HD playback (videos) is some of the sharpest I have ever seen on a tablet, period.
Navigating it’s crisp menu with fluent smooth strokes of the finger, as screens transition like butter – because of a feature that allows it to do so. Swiping, pinching, throwing, dragging, is all smooth as butter. No lag as you flow screen by screen at the speed of light.
The first versions were available in 8GB and 16GB, which isn’t much. But now a 32GB and 64GB version are available – which is real nice considering this device is Wi-Fi only – so you will be downloading many things. You will want that space.
The tablet features a SUPER fast Tegra-3 processor – dual core. Can you believe that? Some peoples computers don’t even have a dual core processor! This is lightning fast tech in a 7″ hand sized screen – for less than $200. It’s crazy.
Since it is by Google – it is loaded with tons of Google services, which all luckily are really good. GMAIL, Calendar, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google music, etc. Any Google Web app you have ever used, is in a handy dandy really smooth Android App version as well. You better believe that for the Google fanatic who uses every service, you can sync up and get locked in just like you would from your PC. This is what makes this tablet so darn cool.
It’s a slick experience and all of this on smaller 7″ screen with super crisp HD. You really can’t go wrong with this tablet – it is THE BEST 7″ on the market, if not the best tablet period.

Samsung caters to the current main stream in designing big screen. It adopts a 10.1-inch screen with resolution of 1280-by-800 pix. What’s more, it is equipped with 1GB RAM and 32GB MicroSD card, along with storage space for three kinds of specifications, mainly 16GB/32GB/64GB. Besides, it possesses the latest Android 4.0 operating system, a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and a 7000mAh battery, all of which prove its strong capacity.
With a built-in rear camera of 3 Mpix and a front-end camera of 2 Mpix available, Samsung Galaxy Note 10. 1 supports the Touchwiz interface, HSDPA network of 21Mbps, Wi-FI, GPS and Bluetooth etc. Well, is Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 equipped with S Pen really compatible with Apple’s new iPad? Let us have a close look at it and to learn more about its magic charming.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has an attractive appearance. The positive of it is a 10.1-inch screen, with exquisite designed loudspeakers in both of its left and right sides, all reflecting its beauty and practicality.
Made of slippery plastics, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a more beautiful appearance and smoother lines than Galaxy Tab 10.1. But the back of it, in ordinary design, is easy to absorb fingerprints.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 supports users to run two apps, and to make copy and paste in these two apps. Besides, it has powerful functions in editing pictures and photos. The new S Pen has been improved in terms of size and handfeeling. With sensibility up to 255 grades instead of 128, it is more suitable for completing creative tasks.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has many built-in apps, including Adobe Idea, Photoshop Touch, SPlanner, Smemo and ChatON, and it has updated these apps so as to meet the needs for the operation of S Pen. Users can draw graphs or modulate images in the Photoshop app with S Pen, which helps to promote users’ use experience. Through the S Pen, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 can run many common operations, such as operations for return and menus, thus improving working efficiency.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is lightly better than the new iPad in light of size. It adopts a 10.1-inch screen, more according with the current fashion for large screen. Yet, in fields of screen material and screen effect, there exist certain disparities. Samsung GN 10.1, unlike SUPER AMOLED Plus, adopts a rather ordinary TFT material, reflecting its disparity with others.
As Samsung employs a 10.1 screen, its resolution of 1280-by-800 pixel exerts excellent performance. Without a fashionable quad-core processor available, however, its 1.4GHz dual-core processor performs rather well. Apart from the above, its screen effect is stable under different illumination conditions, and its video display works smoothly.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 characteristics real UI developments that make use of the S Pen in useful, valid, and great ways. Its storage capacity may be enlarged via microSD, as well as the IR blaster stays a sensible inclusion.
In addition, it assembled some useful shortcut gestures into the pencil, making jobs like screen capture, calling up a program’s menu, and going back to the last display a straightforward action of holding down the pencil button and swiping or patting the display in the right manner.
It provides a lot of 4G strategy flexibility with no contracts that are required, happily. Six hundred dollars for a true characteristic-packed tablet pc will still be too much for most, yet, and unless you literally have need of a mobile tablet pc on the road, the more low-cost WiFi variant that provides more characteristic flexibility and, likely, timelier upgrades is the thing to do.
In the event you are comfortable with Samsung tablet computers, the inclusion of the organization ‘s custom UI, TouchWiz, on the Note 10.1 will likely not shock you. Happily, Samsung has toned down the -Cost-ian appearance, now supplying a natural, more quiet aesthetic.
The miniature programs tray now contains just those programs compatible with the Note 10.1’s multiwindow attribute, which makes it possible to run 2 simultaneous programs on the display. It is also possible to now resize each program to your heart’s content.
The compatible programs are restricted to a short 13, and although the tablet’s WiFi variant contains display variations of programs like Facebook and Twitter. One of my most useful and favourite program that was miniature -tray programs, the Task Manager, can be obtained just after going right through settings or tapping the recent programs button.
This really decision, is not the apparatus if you are just trying to find a straightforward tablet pc to fulfill needs that are uncomplicated to get, as its characteristics are considerably more strongly aligned to the needs of artists and content originators.
Unless you’ve got special need of a 4G tablet pc, the more economical, more adaptable WiFi version is the thing to do, although the Wireless variation is simply as much a quality merchandise as the WiFi variant.Check Price On Amazon
HP Stream 8 Tablet
The HP Stream 8 is an 8-inch Windows tablet pc with an incorporated 4G LTE, now out there.
HP Stream 8 is a good looking tablet pc that’s also not difficult to lug about largely as a result of its light weight body and thin form factor. Made from plastic substances, the tablet pc features a black plastic shiny front panel together with a smooth rear that sports a matte finish along with rounded corners. The front panel is controlled by an 8-inch capacitive IPS touchscreen screen using a resolution of 1280x800p.
A capacitive touch Windows Start key in the base of the a 2MP camera lens as well as the screen in the very top right. A volume rocker key while the left border as well as the right border houses the power button is barren. The 3.5mm headphone and the micro-USB ports sit at the top border and two speaker grills are placed at the bottom edge. Overall, we enjoy the build quality and portability of the tablet pc.
The tablet pc comes with some pre-installed programs, including HP Support apps Joined Music, Skype, and Amazon Kindle among other HP programs and casual games. These programs could be easily uninstalled if they aren’t required by you. The tablet pc offers one year subscription to Microsoft Office 365. The inclusion of Office is a huge value-add.
Overall, the HP Stream 8 is an excellent midrange Windows tablet pc. It’s possible for you to run most legacy Windows programs and just about all Windows 8 programs, so it is basically a mobile PC. The tablet pc would definitely appeal to road warriors who have to utilize Windows programs for work. The wireless computer keyboard has an almost PC-like encounter.Check Price On Amazon
LG G Pad V410 7-Inch 4G LTE Table
The LG G Pad 7.0 is a fundamental budget tablet pc that somewhat outmatches its contest with a supremely comfy assemble, small applications extras and bargain basement pricing.
10.1’s straightforward layout is comfortable to hold. It’s a microSD card expansion slot, an IR blaster and an IPS display with wide viewing angles. Additionally, it features double-window functionality and comes in a 4G LTE variation.
An IR blaster, a sharp IPS display as well as the perk of double-window functionality give it an edge over other tablets that are low-cost and, though its barebones assemble oscillates between straight and minimalist -up dreary, it is extremely comfortable to utilize.
The LG G Pad 7.0 gently stands out in the overwhelming ocean of budget tablet computers by keeping matters affordable and straightforward. It does not excel at anything in particular; it is supremely fair.
Highend tablet computers gain from zippy central processing units, pixel-packaged displays and an overflow of software features — things the LG G Pad 7.0 does not offer — but if you just want a tablet pc for actions like checking email, browsing the Web and playing the occasional mobile game, you do not want those fancy bells and whistles.
Most budget tablet computers do not let you alter more than the house and lock screen backgrounds, but you can greatly tweak the interface of the LG G Pad 7.0 to your liking. You alter the way the navigation bar on the underside appears can choose from various lock display security alternatives or pick an interesting display-swiping effect.
All these are just a few of the alternatives and, you will likely value the liberty to fix how you experience the tablet pc in the event you are seeking an apparatus for regular use, though they appear little.
All in all, the 7-incher, like its bigger counterpart, the LG G Pad 10.1, is a midrange tablet pc with a low end price tag. You can now policeman the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE, which boasts the advantage of an additional 8GB of internal storage, for the same $150 with a two-year contract or $250 without a contract, or pay payments of $12.50 a month for 20 months.
Budget tablet computers are a dime a dozen and you’ll be able to claim the LG G Pad 7.0 is equally pedestrian. Nevertheless, for anybody looking into an affordable tablet for everyday use, $150 for a slate that is competent is an enticing price. Simply remember, in the event you are choosing the 8GB WiFi-only variant, youwill need to make sure that you put in a microSD card to your shopping cart.Check Price On Amazon
Lenovo K1 Ideapad 130422U
The advanced Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1 keeps you connected to music, movies and apps, on the go.
It’s the web as you’ve never seen it before; the 10.1″ IdeaPad Tablet K1 with Android 3.0 is optimized for the web like no other tablet.
The Lenovo K1 Ideapad 130422U comes with full support for the latest Flash content and complete Digital Rights Management (DRM) so you can legally One attractive feature of the Ideapad is that it has hardware DRM capability, which means that (in principle) you can download rented movies to watch offline, say, on an airplane.
However, I have yet to find an app that will actually allow you to cache movies for offline viewing. The included mSpot movies app appears to support only streaming, as does Netflix and movies on the Android Market (which you have to watch via YouTube). I’m hoping that offline movie capabilities will appear soon.
It’s worth mentioning that the tablet has a built-in GPS and compass, so that augmented reality and navigation apps will work. The GPS capability is strangely missing from the product description on many sites.download & store movies in every available format.
Been using it every day since for a couple of hours a day. Lenovo K1 Ideapad 130422U came with everything updated with all latest versions including Netflix. So far have had no issues which other reviews have pointed out including professional reviews found elsewhere on the net.
1. Has not froze or crashed once.
2. Have downloaded a couple of movies from Netflix and spent about 20 minutes watching without issues however never watched a complete movie.
3. YouTube works fine with no buffering problems.
4. Load times for surfing the net are slower than my PC’s however don’t think comparing a PC to a tablet is a fair comparison. Tablet to tablet makes sense which I haven’t done and the speed is not that bad.
5. Don’t see a need for half the apps included but they can be deleted and each to their own.
6. Screen sharpness is excellent.
This Lenovo K1 Ideapad 130422U tablet is good product.at first, i would recommend this tablet.
Toshiba Thrive AT105-T1016
This Toshiba tablet is a portable entertainment hub, letting you enjoy your favorite music and videos on the move. The integrated Resolution+ video enhancement technology of the Toshiba portable PC lets you enjoy crisp and sharp HD-quality visuals on its screen.
With the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor of the Thrive AT105-T1016, computing is efficient and quick. The two onboard cameras (2 MP front and 3 MP rear) of the Toshiba tablet let you videoconference as well as capture great stills and videos.
- Stable – I never experienced the sleep issue at all, but installed the fix yesterday anyway, since it offered some additional performance improvements. No issues out of the performance at all. Everything is fast and responsive. A joy to use.
- Responsive – Honeycomb OS is very fast, clean, and customizable. Very intuitive to use (at least for me). Adding widgets, etc. is fun and easy to layout.
- Video/graphics – Videos look great in all formats, but really snap in HD. All the graphics look great, and the text in the Kindle App looks amazing. Visually stunning. Everyone that has seen it has been impressed.
- Customization – You can set up the five screens any way you want. Widgets are wonderful things! Also plugged it into my laptop and it loaded up without any problems, allowing me to copy some pictures, etc. quickly.
- Multi-task management – The third button along the bottom left allows you to easily switch from application to application quickly. It’s amazing how quickly you can get to something once you get used to using that button!
- Size – to me, this is a pro, because you feel like you’re holding something and it’s very easy to hold on to. You don’t get the sense it’s going to slip out of your hands, like you sometimes do with the iPad2. It doesn’t feel cheap or cheesy, but very solid.
- Battery life – I’ve read some mixed reviews on this, but I get a good 7-8 hours of serious use out of it before it gets below 20%. Over nights, when sleeping, it uses 2%-4% battery life. And it does charge fast, they aren’t kidding about that!
- The charger – Not a big deal, true, but it’s a small laptop power supply, which I just find annoying to have to lug around. They should have a simple adapter you can use with the provided mini-USB to USB cable.
- Sound – Not really a big issue (and I may be missing something), but even with the volume all the way up on the device, it still sounds a little low to me using headphones. Maybe just a preference here, but I thought I should mention it. It does sound much better without the headphones on, though, but can be a little clinky and suffer from reverb on heavier tracks of music.
- Storage – not really a “con”, but more of a heads-up. You won’t have the full storage amount available to use. For example, if you buy the 8 GB version, you won’t have 8 GB of storage to use. Honeycomb and other things (drivers, etc) take up part of that amount. Same with the 16 and 32 GB versions. Not a big deal, but I know some people are wondering why they only have 5 GB free when they bought the 8 GB version.
OVERALL,the Toshiba Thrive AT105-T1016 is a wonderful tablet, performs great, looks great, and has impressed a couple of co-workers enough that they are going to buy one. The full USB port was the big selling point for both.
This tablet has been everything I’d hoped for and more. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a tablet. This is a great first step into the tablet pool by Toshiba, I must say. If you’re wondering if this tablet will do what you want, I’m pretty sure it will :),I give the Thrive 5 Stars.

In the event you are in the marketplace for a tablet pc that is beautiful at a fair price point, utilising the most cutting edge technology and backed by a sleek, user-friendly operating system, the second-generation iPad Air is the default option.
It keeps or improves upon the various strengths of the offering of last year and addresses a lot of the ongoing problems inherent in the iOS platform. In addition to that, it gives images power and a huge CPU upgrade to top Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The tablet pc marketplace appears to be confronting overly significant issues. Primarily, while cellular technology scaling and is quickly evolving the intricacy of the jobs they’re processing isn’t. Now’s iPad does not decode media any better than its forerunners, while assessing Facebook or browsing the web does not actually need the 40 per cent rise to CPU power or the 2.5x increase to GPU functionality that Apple’s new tablet pc possesses.
The new iPad does the basics rapidly and more easily, but not to a degree that requires an upgrade. Really, some might indicate that the largest obsolescence problem confronting classic iPads is not day to day use – but instead the latest iOS upgrades, which generally seem to slow down older hardware for reasons unknown.
Verdict, in the event you are in the marketplace for a tablet pc that gives the very best potential technology together with a lovely display as well as a form factor that is brilliant, the iPad Air 2 is the finest merchandise available.
There is a rewarding development in going across to the most recent version, particularly if you have the iPad 2 or iPad’s immediate successor, in the event you are an owner of an older, fatter it. The speed increase given by the A8X is indisputable, but the unsung hero of the piece is the 2GB memory upgrade, which seems to have eventually addressed the equilibrium problems that are irritating.
In addition to that, you get all of the advantages of the somewhat more tasteful Atmosphere chassis: smaller bezels, weight decrease and the improved form factor join to make this an excellent upgrade for those who have slates that are older.
At the moment, the end result is the fact that the iPad Air 2 comes across as a possibly ground-breaking product which feels and looks like an upgrade that is iterative.Check Price On Amazon
Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Tablet
It is the biggest member of its own Note family, and Samsung claims that the 12.2″ NotePRO offers PC-like productivity in today’s cellular age, which confuses the lines between computing device sections. Android are definitely top notch, but just distinct than other high end slates if we examine the specs of the them tablet pc.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 layout will seem recognizable to those who’ve seen a Galaxy Note 3, as it duplicates the same design. As with the Galaxy Note 3, the faux leather back does give the hand something a little stronger to hold on to than polished metal or plastic that is glossy, thus a premium material comfortable to hold, despite not feeling like it.
The great thing about the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is extremely light and thin as a result, weighing only 750g, which is not half bad for a 12in tablet pc. It is also fairly slender, measuring only under 8mm thick.
We get the outstanding S Pen stylus with the NotePRO, which sits tucked in a silo in the very best right corner of the slate of Samsung, prepared to switch your productivity impulses with doodling sprees. It’s quite simple to take out or push back in feels not wobbly, and comfortable in the silo. Samsung is betting on an extremely high resolution display, which not many devices with this particular screen diagonal can provide yet. At 2560×1600, the 12.2″ panel crams four million pixels on its surface. At 247ppi, this is actually the pixel density you can now get from a 12-incher, so you will not find any detail imperfections from a normal viewing space, and that’s more than enough.
In a nutshell, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is among our favourite Android tablet computers, because of its big, brilliantly bright and high quality LCD screen. Many tablets’ screens instead limit they, with webpages requiring office files and horizontal scrolling seeming somewhat confined. This really is not the situation with the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. File editing and web browsing feel agreeable and natural on this particular tablet pc.
We also appreciated the range of uses that Samsung has made the attempt to contain, plus it is nicely suited for company use, together with the additional peace of mind it is not more dangerous with its builtin Android security tools.
But, also it is an important “but”, the cost is simply too high for a tablet pc, which thus pulls down its total score. For the cost, you can purchase a considerably more powerful convertible notebook, including a Lenovo Yoga, which offers better productivity with a full size computer keyboard that is real.Check Price On Amazon

Apple iPad mini 3 MGY92LL/A Tablet
The Apple iPad mini 3 is a brilliant little-display graphics tablet, however you can get basically the same experience from its forerunner for $100 less.
The iPad mini 3 is identical to its predecessor, save for the emphasis ring enclosing the brand new Touch ID button. There is additionally a new gold colorway to go together with the existing silver and space alternatives that are grey.
While the iPad Air 2 gets Apple’s latest silicon, the A8X, the iPad mini 3 uses the same 64-bit, 1.3GHz Apple A7 SoC found in the miniature 2. The recurring topic here is the fact that the largest competition of the mini 3 is the miniature 2, as well as on the operation front, the mini 3 offers no edge over its forerunner.
Apple is directing power users towards the bigger iPad. And as program developers begin to make the most of the power of the A8X, it is not impossible mini 3 owners could be degraded for by the program encounter. That is an important difference between miniature 3 and the Atmosphere 2, particularly considering how long people often hang onto their graphics tablets.
The mini 3 comes with iOS 8.1 installed from the carton. Apple added new attributes in the telling shadiness and extensibility such as widgets, but the general experience ought to be simple to learn for anyone new to touchscreen interfaces and recognizable for Apple users.
Overall, the Apple iPad mini 3 is a brilliant little-display graphics tablet, but the modest upgrades, along with a wholesome reduction for last year’s almost indistinguishable version, make it to advocate wholeheartedly.Check Price On Amazon
Google Nexus 9 8.9-Inch Tablet
The Google Nexus 9 is an 8.9-inch upgrade to last year’s Nexus 7 and a wonderful introduction to Android Lollipop. It simply does not measure up to the iPad Air 2 in more ways than one.
The Nexus 9 could be geared towards programmers, but its big screen, strong 64-bit central processing unit, and stereo sound are a delight for anyone desire. It is the first of the Nexus troupe to utilize a 4:3-ratio display rather than a widescreen one and the first to launch with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It is not only the iPad Air 2 the Nexus 9 should compete with. The Nexus 9 is 7.9mm thick and 425g, a load heavier than the 6.6mm thick, 294g Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 – the Samsung is smaller, but still a great size. The Nexus 9 is simply not leading the pack in how it actually should be.
Nevertheless, in real-life make use of the Nexus 9 and cast away those comparisons is very great. The non-widescreen aspect is very good, there is only enough side bezel and it is quite secure to utilize, particularly when you are sitting down or have both hands spare.
The display of the Nexus 9 has a 4:3 aspect ratio, rather than the typical 16:9 we are used to seeing on Android tablet computers, so this apparatus will create an image that is more box like rather than the widescreen view you may be accustomed to. It is not bad for utilizing the tablet in portrait orientation and for productivity programs.
The Nexus 9’s front-facing BoomSound speakers make up for all of that. At any time you see a film alongside a buddy, you can just turn up the volume for a mini-theatre experience, with loud stereo speakers placed on both sides of the screen.
Overall, the Nexus 9 is a strong, convenient tablet pc if you are attracted to the Nexus 9 that is enjoyable to use, purchase it as you would like to see what the future’s like, not because you are trying to find the tablet pc apparatus that is absolutely perfect.Check Price On Amazon

Quantifying in at 135 x 199 x 5.6mm and weighing 265g, the tablet pc is comfortable to hold and little and light enough to be carried around in a satche. But its use of the TouchWiz skin of Samsung will delay quickly it is going to be upgraded to Android Marshmallow.
I have ever been huge fan of Samsung smartphone and tablet computers’ displays, believing their usage of Super AMOLED technology sets them a cut above many competing devices.
The technology offers all the advantages of regular AMOLED displays, which can show more affluent and stronger blacks by charging unique pixels to create colours. This implies blacks can be created by them only by blocking the charge of pixels. The stronger blacks make colours pop and enhance the general functionality of the display.
While some inexpensive tablet computers, including the Asus ZenPad 7.0 and ZenPad 8.0 offer adequate value for money, blacks’par parts result in inferior operation and woefully short battery life.
The Galaxy Tab S2 is among a select few Android tablet computers to provide top end functionality. Add to this its stellar battery life, as well as the Galaxy Tab S2 earns its place as one of the finest tablet computers of 2015 – and for now, I’d recommend it to people who are able to afford it.
Outline, the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is among the finest small form factor tablet computers now accessible, Highly Recommend to everyone!Check Price On Amazon
